Test results

All the results are looked at by a GP, and you will be contacted by text or a letter if the GP feels they require to speak to you directly.

Blood tests take a minimum of 5 days, x-ray results take between 7 to 10 days, although some other tests may take longer.

The GPs have agreed that a request for a routine appointment can wait 2 to 3 weeks, so you will have chance to book a routine appointment.

Getting your test results

If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.

Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:

  • in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
  • in your SystmOnline account
  • by phoning us on 01908 221180 between 10am and 3pm, the phone is not so busy at this time and the reception staff are more able to assist

The practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. We will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data, or they are not capable of understanding the results.

Please note results can only be given to the patient concerned.
